Revisit – Episode 275 – Neil Innes

In memory of Neil Innes, who sadly passed on December 29, I wanted to re-release my interview with him from September 12, 2018.

I don’t know where to start, except to say that Neil Innes is a human pop culture hub of the 60s.  His own brilliant work with the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band collided creatively with both pre-Python Monty Python and The Beatles, and holds up equally well.  It comes together in a brilliant meta piece of comedy art when he writes and performs the music for, and acts in, The Rutles.
